The kit, the package, the tools!

I am of the firm belief that you do not need the best in class equipment to be able to travel, blog, or live happily. The kit that I have with me is far from the best, latest and newest but ultimately, I have the knowledge on how to use these items in a professional way and that is what makes them good.

I do not have a very large collection of equipment, most expensive or advanced – but I am of the firm belief that if you know how to use the cheaper or older equipment in a professional way, you will be able to use that to make whatever you are trying to do look great.

2015 Renault Sandero Stepway

The first item in my arsenal is a Renault Sandero Stepway, an oldie but a goodie. I call him Marty! He has cruise control and air conditioner and with an average of 5.7l per 100 kilometres – what else do I need for some good long road trips? Hoot at me if you see me on the road!

Canon Rebel XTi

My DSLR camera is an old Canon that is no longer available for sale – yes, it is that old. It is a 10.1 megapixel professional DSLR with all the features and buttons that I would expect. No it cannot take video, but it is not meant for that feature and I am happy with it’s ability to take stunning photos.

Kodak PixPro FZ53

The little Kodak camera is my happy snapper, for selfies and those quick moments where having my DSLR is not meant for. This is also the camera that I use to film vlogs in my car with just because it is something that is small and fits easily into my camera dock on my screen.

FijiFilm XP Underwater

As the name suggest, my FujiFilm is the camera that will be coming with me on the bigger adventures where there is dust, super cold and some water. This is a very durable little camera that can take stunning photos and video, although it has a fixed lens.

Panasonic HC-V180

My handycam is the primary device that I use for filming videos – it is extremely small and lightweight with a great quality of audio and video. It has a zoom that can see my private thoughts through my eyes and that makes me happy. With a bit of luck I can even mount this camera in my car and take vlogs with.

So there you go fam, that is the basis of my kit bag and wheels. Yes there might be added items on certain adventures, but I will be listing those in the individual posts and where possible I will be adding buy links so that you can find these items yourself.

As always, much love!
